Tierney Statement on the Passing of Geraldine Ferraro
Salem, MA- Congressman John F. Tierney released the following statement on the passing of Geraldine Ferraro:
"Geraldine Ferraro rightly earned a place in history in 1984, when she was nominated for Vice President. Her legacy will continue to inspire women across the country to reach their highest potential and continue to break barriers, both in politics and in society as a whole. I was privileged to have Gerry as my guest of honor at a Women for Tierney event a few years ago, and I know that I, along with the attendees, greatly appreciated her perspective and her comments, as she has inspired a new generation of women leaders in this country.
My thoughts remain with the entire Ferraro family during this difficult time."
