Improving Elementary & Secondary Education (K-12)

Communities in Massachusetts and around the country continue to struggle with mandates which were established, but not funded, under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) – currently known as No Child Left Behind. John is working with colleagues on the House Education and Labor Committee to rewrite this important law by properly investing in our children and our schools, supporting our teachers and principals, encouraging a rich and challenging learning environment and promoting best practices and innovation while at the same time holding our schools accountable.

He also believes autism and special education programs should be appropriately funded and that every student should be taught by a highly qualified teacher.
